WOBURN --
HIGH SCHOOL -- Facilities director Lenny Burnham gave the School Committee a rundown of summer projects at its Sept. 30 meeting, including several at the high school's athletic spaces. The weight room got new flooring and paint, and Burnham said "all the equipment was cleaned and maintained." The school also installed a new ice machine "for the teams" that was donated as part of equipment from the closing Northeast Vocational School. Around the stadium, crews added new pole cameras, and Burnham said the stadium got a new sound system, though he noted he hadn't heard it in action yet: "I know we've gotten complaints from the neighborhood, so I'm going to be pretty loud."
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Woburn Little League has posted a new item on its website announcing its Winter Clinic 2027, stating the clinic "Starts January 10th!" The league's site also continues to list spring registration and a call for experienced managers for existing Major Baseball teams.
