Traffic Commission · Meeting of October 15, 2026

WOBURN — The Woburn Traffic Commission voted to swap which side of Walnut Hill Park allows parking after reviewing congestion photos. Commissioner Cashel submitted the photos and argued the change would preserve "access to the property for emergency services, for plowing issues." The panel voted unanimously to shift no-parking from the westerly to the easterly side, pending City Council approval before the Department of Public Works relocates signage. Commissioners also rejected a resident request for flashing pedestrian beacons near Holton Street and Eagle Road, citing a $15,000 to $20,000 per-unit cost, opting instead for fluorescent-yellow crosswalk signs.

A separate request for handicapped parking near 20 Hudson Street was referred to the Commission on Disabilities after members found the petition had not yet been reviewed there.
