License Commission · Meeting of October 15, 2026

Woburn's License Commission approved earlier alcohol-service hours for First Watch and granted two one-day licenses for the Greek Orthodox Community of Woburn's upcoming Gyro Fest and trivia night. Chairman Tommy Skeffington led the commission's mandatory annual meeting, where Woburn Police Captain Murphy and Fire Lt. Mark Smith briefed license holders on compliance, with Smith warning that "you're paying them to clean your hoods, so if they're not doing a job, you switch companies." Commissioners voted 3-0 to move First Watch's alcohol service to 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.

Sundays, two hours earlier than before. The commission also approved, 3-0 with fees waived, a one-day license for the city's Mayor's Senior Appreciation Luncheon and continued pending applications from Fable Brewing Company and HLE Target Company to November 12. Skeffington told license holders applications are due at the city clerk's office by November 13, with a hard November 30 cutoff before licenses revert to the city's quota.
