Board of Appeals · Meeting of October 14, 2026

WOBURN — The Woburn Board of Appeals approved special permits for additions at three properties and continued a contested accessory dwelling unit case to November 18. The board approved a razed-and-rebuilt single-family home at 5 Alfred Terrace with a new drainage condition, a dining-room and deck addition at 13 North Warren Street, and a deck at 119 Eastern Avenue, where the proposed lot coverage sat at 21.6 percent against the town's 25 percent maximum. The board's chair pressed applicants Adam Schoenhart and Katherine Amelia Harrow-Cunnins on how they calculated a proposed 701-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at 11 Gardner Avenue against the state's 900-square-foot cap, saying "I can't vote in favor of an ADU that's 700 square feet" without a documented calculation.

That petition was continued to November 18. The board also approved a minor modification to a May 2026 permit at 1 Redwood Road.
